I am so grateful for the people that have started the Pop Up Story Walk in our area. We went to read The Bear and the Piano at Brightwater today.
It was the perfect thing for my new readers to practice reading while having breaks to run down the trail and be outside in nature! They couldn't
wait to get to the next sign. The bears at the beginning and end were such a nice addition that delighted my children. Thank you! -Katherine T.

How does the storywalk work?
-PopUp Storywalk is installed along a trail or sidewalk edge. The story boards are placed into metal frames. You will walk along the trail or path and read the story, page by page, as you follow the path.
Do we have to buy the book and bring it to the walk?
-Nope, all you need to bring are your walking feet! The story is printed on large boards and attached to a frame that is installed into the ground. You will follow the path and read the story along the way.
How long is the walk?
-The storywalk is typically around a half mile walk. It takes most families 30-45 minutes to complete the storywalk.
Is it stroller friendly?
-We install PopUp Storywalk along a trail edge or path. Every location is a little bit different and we do our best to choose locations that are safe and easy. We suggest checking our facebook page and website prior to heading out to the trails. We will provide details on our website and facebook page specific to whether or not the current PopUp is stroller friendly.
